Students from any area are welcome to attend Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. The majority of our students come from many of the surrounding communities. |

you have to be Catholic to attend Our Lady of Mount Carmel School?
No. Students of all faiths are welcome;
however, pupils are required to take religion
classes pertaining to the Roman Catholic
faith and attend religious services with

are the school hours?
During a regular school day, classes begin
at 7:45 A.M. and school is dismissed at
2:30 P.M. Our half-day school schedule
runs from 7:45 A.M. until 11:50 A.M. Pre-k 3 hours are 8:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Pre-k 4 hours are 8:00 A.M. until 2:10 P.M. |

does World Language instruction begin?
Students begin World Language classes
in kindergarten. |

What
type of standardized tests are administered?
Our Lady of Mount Carmel School administers the Terra
Nova Achievement Test to students in grades
two through seven during the spring semester. Our eighth grade students participate in the COOP test. |

Will
my child be expected to take mid-term
and final examinations?
Yes, all students from first through eighth grade may take mid-term and final examinations.
Our fourth through seventh grades take Terra-Nova Assessmens in November.
