- Have respect for the freedom of all peoplethrough an understanding of others' ideas and beliefs, a respect for duly appointed authority, as well as for the rights and property of others
- Recognize that each child's individuality is a gift from God and that this individuality must be preserved and developed to its fullest potential; this is reflected in teaching methods as well as in respect for individual needs and patterns of learning

Mission
Our Lady of Mount Carmel School
(OLMC) primarily carries out the evangelical
mission of the OLMC Parish in transmitting the
message of Jesus Christ to a new generation.
The school exists for the education of the whole
child, spiritually, intellectually, socially,
and physically, as a unique person in a Christian
atmosphere. In this atmosphere, children can
be helped to perceive their relationship to
God, Church, neighbor, government, and the environment,
as well as forming a faith-filled, compassionate
community. Finally, our students will be able
to take their place as mature Catholic Christians
in the Church and in the wider community of
society.
Objective
Our objective is to prepare
our students for the many roles they will take
during their lives as students, siblings, sons
and daughters, friends, citizens, parishioners,
and eventually as employees, leaders, and parents.
We attain this objective through our curriculum
and co-curricular activities. Our alumni are
the witnesses of our success. They serve both
God and their communities in diverse careers,
including law, medicine, education, journalism,
and government. Many of our most active parishioners
are alumni of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School.
